Prayers for Clients

Below are prayers I use regularly that touch on themes common in counseling.

Offering to Jesus Jesus, come and live always within me. Take possession of my whole being, weak as I am. Take me with all that I am, even in my lowliness. Take the most intimate parts of my heart, and cure the wounds that hurt me. Take the thorns of anguish, and remove all the fears within me. Take my resentments and temptations. Show me, Jesus, all You want from me, and transform me into You completely. May I become a living transparency of Your Person.

Prayer to Jesus O dear Jesus, I offer you my will, that you may strengthen it; my mind, that you may inspire it; my memory, that you may fill it; my wishes and desires, that you cleanse them; my intentions, that you guide them; all my inner and outer activities, that you make them sacred. All I am and have is yours. Your love for me is my hope and trust. Hear me and grant that I may never leave you. Amen.

Anointing Prayer to the Father Father, I pray for the ministry you have for me. Anoint me, God, for all you have called me to do for you. I call forth divine appointments, open doors of opportunity, God-ordained encounters, and ministry positions. Amen.

Prayer for the Holy Spirit Lord Jesus, I ask you to baptize me in your Holy Spirit. I want to receive all that you have for me. Holy Spirit, I ask you to take the reins of my life, to lead me, guide me, and empower me to live a new way of life. I welcome whatever gifts you desire me to have for the building up of the Church, and the mission to which you have called me. Amen.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit O Holy Spirit, soul of my soul, I adore you. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that you desire of me, and to accept all that you permit to happen to me. Just make me know your will. Amen.
