Ultimate healing occurs through the saving power of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. The fruits of this salvation we begin to taste here on earth. The hope is that counseling can be a way in which one experiences the healing that Christ wins for us.
- For I am the Lord, your healer (Ex. 15:26).
- May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit, and soul, and body be kept sound and blameless (1 Thess. 5:23).
- Because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious freedom of the children of God (Rom. 8:21).
- I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (Jn. 10:10).
- That my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete (Jn. 8:32).
- Behold, I make all things new (Rev. 21:5).
- And Jesus cried out with a great voice, “Lazarus, come out.” And he said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go” (Jn. 11:43-44).
- And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you (1 Pet. 5:10).
- He sent forth his word, and it healed them, and delivered them (Ps. 107:20).
- Lord, heal me, for my body is troubled and my soul is racked with pain (Ps. 6:2-3).
- Those who sow in tears shall reap rejoicing (Ps. 126).
- For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal (Jer. 30:17).
- Again I will build you, and you shall be built…there is hope for your future (Jer. 31: 4,17).
- Your word, O Lord, heals all men (Wis. 16:12).
- For my words are life to him who finds them, and healing to all flesh (Prv. 4:22).
- A righteous man walks in integrity (Prv. 20:7).
- And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in (Is. 58:12).
